i liked the animation, but i really have no idea what's going on or what the main series is about

Thanks dude! I get the confusion, this was made as a one off for an animation open house and not much thought was put into the narrative for this episode, truth be told. The next episode gives a little more story context but really this show is more about the gags than anything. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!

great animation. is it actually oil pastel or is just made to look that style digitally?

it's all hand drawn frame by frame using oil and soft pastels.
i made a sheet with timestamps marking all of the vocal sounds.
was fun to try out this very traditional way of animating!
